We are beyond thankful for the Neurology team at ACCESS, for the care provided to our kitty. We were reassured by the quality of care and communication we had received from the team, at a very emotionally difficult time for us. Dr. Gerlach, Dr. Masterson, and the Neuro assistant Amber were so amazing to work with. Dr. Gerlach and Dr. Masterson were exceptionally knowledgeable, compassionate, professional, and patient. Amber was thoughtful, caring, and handled our communication smoothly. They listened to our concerns patiently, and answered our questions with the outmost thought and consideration. It was not just the price to pay to receive service. It was the constant support we felt from the ACCESS team that we are really thankful for. Last week we had such a scary experience with our 2-year-old male cat. We realized he was not able to pee. We initially went to his regular vet, however they directed us to access. For any pet mom who has been through a similar situation, I don't need to tell you how stressful and worrisome it is. The staff at Access was wonderful. I was in a daze when I walked in, but they quickly took action and helped us out. I am so grateful for the care Barnabas received. Dr. Medina was so kind and took the time to explain everything to us. While I'd hope not to have to go back there, I wouldn't hesitate if the need arose. Thankfully our baby boy is doing much better.

Killed My Pet!!! cannot recommend Access Specialty Animal Hospital or Dr. Elena Hadar based on my experience. I brought my 16-year-old Bengal cat, Nova, to Dr. Hadar after she had already undergone blood work and an ultrasound at another veterinary hospital. I wasn’t looking to be told what I already knew—that she had kidney disease, a heart murmur that had already been evaluated by a cardiologist, and abnormalities on her ultrasound. I was seeking a specialist who would carefully review all of her records, explain the findings, and recommend the safest treatment options. Instead, I left feeling that my concerns and my cat’s medical history were not reviewed. During the appointment, I asked why she wasn’t going over the records I had already sent. She told me information was password protected and that she couldn’t access it, yet treatment recommendations continued anyway. I also ex

Had to use them twice: Once for a bowel blockage for my husky (10k) and now for town ACLs both back legs ($9k). Look, surgery for animals is expensive. But this place has given us fantastic surgeries & at least cost. How do I know? Because this was the SECOND bowel surgery and this one had no infection & she healed beautifully - unlike the first we had in Ventura. This place is in a horrible little mini mall with not enough parking. Don’t let this detract you: The care is first rate - from the surgeons to the aides. They take your calls anytime because they are 24 hours/day. They are likable. Kind. And first rate care.
