This was the easiest, smoothest, and hassle-free service I've experienced in a long time. I called the Woodland Hills location of Automotive Instincts last Wednesday for a quote on a 100k-mile service for a hybrid, and Tom quoted a very fair price, lower than I expected. They were able to get me in over the weekend, and the job was done in about 3 hours. There were no hiccups, no upsell, no nonsense. Everyone I encountered was friendly and respectful. The service and treatment I received from everyone at Automotive Instincts is very much appreciated; this is why Automotive Instincts is now my go-to for all my car mechanical needs.

The guys at Automotive Instincts are great! I’ve been using them for at least 20 years, since the days of my beloved Element. They know Hondas really well but work on other Asian brands as well. Not long ago the clutch went out on my Civic. The dealer wanted a small fortune. A quick call to Automotive Instincts and a 20 minute tow later, and I saved literally THOUSANDS of dollars on the repair. Significant. And today they replaced the battery on my key fob for just a few bucks. Love these guys and can’t recommend them enough.

Honest shop and excellent work. Everyone is friendly and competent. Took my 2013 Lexus GS fsport for an Automatic Transmission leak that Russ Transmission couldn’t fix after 2 attempts even though they rebuilt the transmission just 17k miles prior. AutoInstincts diagnosed the issue quickly and said I needed a new trans pan gasket and it be $678 [4hrs of labor]. I approved it but when they started the work the tech found that the front 4 trans pan bolts were loose. They tightened the bolts, topped off the fluid and test drove it. No leaks. For this they only billed me $233. Either the tech or the shop mgr could have simply done the original job and made more $ but they both were honest, which is rare nowadays. I will be bringing all my Japanese cars to Auto-instincts going forward. I won’t have to worry if they’re overcharging or trying to upsell me.

Great repair shop. Jared and Tom are extremely honest and helpful. I brought a 2014 Toyota Prius with a blown head gasket here, and they provided detailed recommendations and insight at a fair price. There was no hiding of the ball and I really appreciate how transparent they were about the car and what really needed to be done. Thanks again, guys!
