We LOVED this place! The place is all about “home made” and the flour comes from Italy. Our server, Cruz, was fabulous. The burrata arugula salad should be split. It’s big and delicious. The Spaghetti Pesce was loaded with seafood delicacies. The Pappardelle with their amazing meatballs was to die for. Fun cocktail options. Extensive wine list. Sure it’s a pain that they don’t take reservations and you will probably wait - so out you name on the list and go down the block to Agoura Wine & Beer and have a drink. VictorB

From the moment we walked into Basta, everything felt elevated yet welcoming. We started with the wagyu carpaccio, which was absolutely exquisite—perfectly delicate, flavorful, and beautifully presented. The burrata pizza was just as impressive, with a flawless balance of creamy richness and a crisp, airy crust that truly stands out among L.A.’s Italian spots. To finish, the butterscotch pudding was unforgettable—silky, indulgent, and the perfect sweet ending to an already incredible meal. What truly made the experience exceptional, though, was our server, Mary. She was outstanding in every sense—attentive without being intrusive, warm, knowledgeable, and genuinely passionate about the menu. Her recommendations and attention to detail elevated our entire evening. Basta delivers not just a meal, but a full dining experience. Easily a five-star night—we’ll absolutely be back.

Delicious! Awesome old fashioned! Love the octopus salad! We have 3 different kinds of pasta and they are all yummy.. pizza is a must!

We recently dined at BASTA Thousand Oaks for a celebratory weekend dinner, and it completely blew us away. From the moment you approach the elegant location on Thousand Oaks Boulevard, you are drawn in by the stylish, sophisticated, yet incredibly comfortable atmosphere. The restaurant features a beautifully designed modern interior and an energetic vibe that instantly sets the stage for a memorable evening out. The scratch-kitchen menu is a masterclass in Italian culinary art. We started our meal with the incredible Affettati and Formaggi board, featuring flawlessly sliced Prosciutto di Parma and artisanal cheeses that paired beautifully with our wine. For the entrees, the wood-fired Margherita Classica pizza featured a perfect, airy crust with impeccable char, while the house-made pasta dishes left everyone at the table completely raving.
