Great place with a delicious cheesesteak. It was a little too spicy for my taste because of the green ají, but I still really enjoyed it. The sesame bread is excellent, the cheese is perfectly melted, and the beef is flavorful. The place claims the beef is “grass-fed Wagyu.” Personally, I don’t think that description adds much value on its own. According to their website, the beef comes from a farm of crossbred Wagyu raised outside Japan (actually should not be labeled as “Wagyu” ) and the level of Wagyu genetics isn’t specified (could be from 1% to 50%?), and genetics are what primarily determine the unique characteristics associated with Wagyu. In this case, the cattle are 100% grass-fed, but without more information about the genetic background, the “grass-fed Wagyu” claim doesn’t tell the full story. I also don’t think the restaurant needs to rely on that kind of marketing that are potentially missleading for consumers. The product speaks for itself, and the cheesesteak is good enough to stand on its own merits without misleading narratives … That said, it’s a very cool spot with a delicious cheesesteak, and it’s definitely worth coming back. Look, the cheesesteak on the day we tried it was delicious. I really enjoyed the bread/bun with sesame seeds. However, the price of the sandwich which was around 24/25 dollars was a bit pricy. The food came out very fast and it was very fresh. They have chips on the side but fries would also be excellent.

My expectations were high from all the hype and the price point and it is definitely a tasty cheesesteak. I ordered it to go and it was still piping hot when I got home 25 minutes later. The bread was a little inconsistent (some parts were soft on the inside with a good crunch on he outside, but other parts felt chewy or stale like). That pepper has some kick. The chips were ok.
